 The Ohio Bureau of Workers’ Compensation, BWC has a library with several resources including: research services, video library collection, books, ANSI standard collection (does not circulate), Safety Update Monthly Newsletter and the BWC Archive.  The BWC Library is an excellent resource for people searching for safety related information.

 There will be an overview of all the materials and services provided by the BWC Library.  Mr. Hart will discuss how the personnel at the library can provide information to questions that require some research and assist with what materials are available.  The BWC Library is a valuable resource for information on safety and occupational health.

 Andrew Hart currently works as a Safety Research Librarian for the Ohio BWC Library. In addition to government, he has experience in special collections, and public and prison library settings. Andrew has a Master of Science in Library Science degree from Clarion University of Pennsylvania, a Master of Social Science degree from Ohio University, a Bachelor of Arts degree in criminology from The Ohio State University, and an undergraduate certificate in Occupational Safety and Health from Columbia Southern University.

Reservations are required for this meeting.

The cost for members is $22 and $27 for non-members.  For those who chose to pay at the door, you may pay only by cash or check, no credit cards will be accepted.  All attendees must make their payment on or before the meeting, members cannot request to be invoiced.  Anyone making a reservation and do not attend without making a proper cancelation will be charged for the meeting.  This meeting qualifies as 1 of the 10 meetings that are required under the BWC’s Safety Council Rebate Program.    

IMPORTANT – For your organization to receive credit for attending the meeting you must stay until the end.   If you leave early, your organization may not receive credit for the meeting.
