			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>BWC’s Division of Safety &amp; Hygiene Safety Vending – A New and Innovative Approach for an Old Problem<br />
With  Brian Christman, District Sales Manager, Fastenal Company</p>
<p>Vending machines have been used for almost a century from simple confection distribution to more advanced applications.  Today, the technology has improved even more for more sophisticated operations and versatility with distribution.</p>
<p>Mr. Christman will provide a historical look into the beginnings of vending, how it has developed and where it is at today.  He will show how vending machines have been adapted for the distribution of safety equipment and discuss the advantages and features available to you.  He will discuss the most common types of machines that are available and the benefits of this technology.  He will provide tips on when to buy or lease and what you should consider when looking into an automated vending program.</p>
<p>Mr. Christman is a 19 year veteran of the Fastenal Company and has implemented many Safety/Vendor Managed/In-plant/Vending Programs during his tenure.  He has been in the Cleveland/Akron Market for the last 8 years.  He will be assisted by Corey Hall who is Fastenal’s Northeast Ohio Team’s Vending Sales Specialist.  Corey has helped implement over 100 vending machines in many different customer facilities ranging from manufacturing, construction, educational, city and county governments.  They will bring a couple of machines to show the group.</p>
<p>Reservations are required for this meeting. You may register on-line at our website, go to Events. If you register on-line, you have the option to pay on-line too you may also register by U.S. Mail or fax it at (216) 621-0062. You can email the information requested below with the date and title of the meeting at info@GreaterClevelandSafetyCouncil.com.   The lunch will begin serving at 11:20 am. The cost for members is $22 and $27 for non-members. Payment can be made in cash or check at the door unless other arrangements are made prior to the meeting.  Anyone making a reservation and do not attend without making a proper cancelation will be charged and invoiced for the meeting. This meeting qualifies as 1 of the 10 meetings that are required under the BWC’s Safety Council Rebate Program.</p>
