The Greater Cleveland Food Bank continues to meet the demand that they have experienced during this pandemic and the economic crisis that has followed. Since the start of the pandemic in Mid-March 2020, the Food Bank has served more than 375,000 people through early December. One-third of those clients are seeking emergency food assistance for the first time ever.
This presentation will discuss the mission of the Greater Cleveland Food Bank and describe what it is and how it functions. They will provide a virtual tour of the Food Bank Facility showing how they come together both employees and volunteers to distribute food to the less fortunate in our community. They will also discuss their response to Covid-19 and its safety protocols. There will be sufficient time for questions and answers.
Taylor Holan is the Corporate Relations Manager, Employee Engagement with the Food Bank for about 7 months. Her role is to work closely with companies and organizations that want to run a Food and Funds Drive benefitting the Food Bank and provide them with resources they need to successfully execute their drives. Prior to the Food Bank, she has worked at various non-profit organizations in the Cleveland area.
Anyone interested in attending this meeting will be required to register and pay.
The cost of this meeting is $5. This money will help ease the strain on the Safety Council’s budget due to the current situation. We deeply appreciate your support and continued participation with our meetings during this difficult time. Our virtual meeting will be available online to those who registered by connecting to the prescribed link that will be sent to them by email.
Please note that the Ohio Bureau of Workers’ Compensation BWC’s Safety Council Rebate Program has been suspended for the Program Year 2022.
